All is now set for the long awaited maiden edition of the Akure Regional Football League, which is to kick off next week.
The FJ football Academy based in Ijapo Akure having been in a preparatory mode have now concluded their preparation with a hardfought win in their last friendly football game which was played on Thursday at the popular ijapo field which is their home ground.
The Coach Okay-Lawrence led side gave a brilliant performance and came out 2-1 winners in an exciting encounter against their opponents, and they have now declared themselves ready for the league kick off.
Speaking after the match, the head coach of FJ football Academy said that it has been a very strenuous week, having played 4 games in 5 days. Winning two of the games, one home and one away, and drawing two also, without a loss.
The grassroots experienced gaffer applauded his boys and and hugely gave his assistant coach Wole Johnson (KANU) lots of credit for the training ground preparations and drills.
He confirmed that the mentality of the team is balanced at the moment, and competition for places is high and there is a good balance in the team for success in the regional football league.
The coach also thanked the management and partners of FJ Football Academy for the renovation of the team’s camp which is wearing a new look and their magnanimity in providing meals to help the players in camp considering the economic situation of this time.
In conclusion the president of FJ football Academy, Chief Sir Elvis Ogbebor on behalf of the management applauded the coaches and the players for their commitment and therefore encouraged the team to go all out in the league and show their God-given talents and abilities.
The Coaches have given the senior team of FJ Football Academy the weekend off, to return to camp on Monday as they fine-tune their readiness for their opening game of the league.
