Cynosure FC Chairman, Prince Chidiebere Nweze has been banned from all football related activities for two years.

This was a decision of the Ebonyi State Football Association Disciplinary Committee which sat on Monday in Abakaliki. The committee charged him for breaking NLO rules and extended invitation to him to defend himself.

However, he failed to appear twice before the committee, hence the body took their decisions after exhausting all periods of grace.

He was banned from all football-related activities under the jurisdiction of the Ebonyi State Football Association for a period of two years. His club, Cynosure FC were also banned for two years.

The Ebonyi State FA will also forward the decision to the NFF, to make the ban a national ban.

Cynosure were billed to play in the NLO playoffs in Aba which begins on Friday 7th August in Abuja. Esthington which finished behind the club in the group stages could replace them at the playoffs.
