The Anambra State Football Association has congratulated Samson Adamu on his emergence as the acting Secretary General of the Confederation of African Football (CAF).

His appointment was announced on Sunday by Patrice Motsepe, President of CAF. Speaking on behalf of the Anambra State FA, Chairman, Chikelue Iloenyosi conveyed the goodwill of the association to the former Director of Competitions at CAF.

“Your emergence as the first Nigerian to occupy this highly position is not only a personal milestone but also a moment of immense pride for Nigeri and the entire African football community.

“This historic achievement stands as a testament to your unwavering dedication, exceptional competence, and enduring contribution to the growth and development of the game across the continent,” Chikelue said.

Responding, Samson Adamu thanked the Anambra FA for their support and said he looks forward to working together with the FA in advancing African football.

“Thank you very much for your kind and thoughtful message,” said Adamu.

Chikelue expressed optimism that Adamu will move the organization to greater heights and further strengthen CAF’s structures and global standing.
