Former finalists of the Abia State Football Association Cup, Ahudiya Nnem FC are set for an opening screening in Uyo, the Akwa Ibom State capital to unearth talents to join the team soon.
Confirming the development, the chairman of the club said the move became necessary to beef up the team for future assignments and to improve the team’s competitiveness.
Meanwhile, the date, venue and time for the upcoming screening exercise will be communicated when plans are concluded soonest.
In a bid to build a sustainable structure for the ambitious side, Ahudiya Nnem FC have floated Heaven’s Race Football Academy to serve as feeder team to groom youngsters,basically teenagers for the future.
Already in operation, Heaven’s Race Football Academy is on course to become one of the finest academies in Akwa Ibom State.
Recall that Ahudiya Nnem FC set Abia State football on fire, defying the odds and qualifying for the final of the Abia State FA Cup, hence making their Federation Cup debut in 2023, before losing to eventual winners, Bendel Insurance in the round of 32 at the U.J. Esuene Stadium in Calabar, Cross River State.
Ahudiya Nnem FC’s upward trajectory looks very much in sight as the team hopes to take talent discovery seriously with the upcoming programme in Uyo.
