The Nationwide League One (NLO) has awarded 3 points and 3 goals to Jaguar FC after thugs disrupted their NLO game against Abakaliki Feeders on Wednesday, at the Pa Ngene Oruta Stadium, Abakaliki.

The referees walked out after fans of the home side encroached the pitch and stopped the game. The match officials later returned after a long delay and awarded a late penalty to Abakaliki Feeders.

In a swift decision on Thursday, the NLO described the scene as an “embarrassment” as the game was beamed live.

Abakaliki Feeders were also fined N500,000 which must be paid before their next match in the ongoing season.

The NLO cited article 4:3(1) of its statutes and awarded 3 points and 3 goals to Jaguar FC.
