The Super Falcons will face Benin Republic in next year’s Women Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) qualifiers in October.
The 10-time winners of the tournament will qualify to the tournament with victory over the She-Cheetahs. To reach the final stage of the qualification series, Benin Republic defeated Sierra Leone 5-2 on aggregate. Both teams played the games in Togo and Monrovia as both countries did not have CAF-approved match venues.
Benin Republic will host the first leg before coming to Nigeria for the return leg. Both matches will be played between the window of 20th-28th October.
The winners of the 11 final qualifying fixtures will join hosts Morocco which will be hosting the tournament for the third consecutive time. This tournament also serves as qualifier for the 2027 FIFA Women’s World Cup finals in Brazil. The WAFCON will be played in March 2026.
All four semifinalists will automatically qualify for the World Cup. There are two additional slots available for Africa through a play-off tournament.
