Chairman of the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL), Gbenga Elegbeleye on Thursday paid a visit to the Nigeria Television Authority (NTA) for a partnership meeting.
Elegbeleye who is in his third year as chairman of the league met with Rotimi Pedro, the Director General of NTA and urged him to partner with the league in order to beam its ten weekly matches live to the station’s millions of followers.
The chairman led the league’s management team to the visit and they were received the NTA’s management team.
In his reaction, Rotimi Pedro expressed his strong desire to collaborate with the NPFL to grow its followership and said growing the football economy is part of President Tinubu’s vision of making the Nigerian economy a one-trillion-dollars economy.
NTA have in the recent past collaborated with broadcasters of the league through their outside broadcast vans. But with their reach, Elegbeleye wants a bigger collaboration to get to a wider audience
