Dr Ogbonnaya Onu Polytechnic formerly Abia State Polytechnic Aba has experienced an active development in the school curriculum and an expansion in the educational landscape following the unbundling of mass communication and now a school of Journalist
This was announced by the Head of Department (HOD) of mass communication Dr Mrs Chinyere Ezeh during the 2025 Departmental day held on Thursday at the Polytechnic filed
This comes after the National Board Technical Education (NBTE) confirmed the accreditation of mass communication in the institution
Speaking to News men after at the departmental day celebration, Dr Ezeh who is also the Dean Students Affairs of Dr Ogbonnaya Onu Polytechnic Aba expressed joy and likened it as a woman who delivered safely
Also speaking, Barr. Ikenna Anyawu, A lecturer in the department of legal studies described it as a positive development taking the number of school in the institution from five to six
Dr Orie also deemed it as long expected and expressed gratitude to God that it has finally happened. He further encourage aspiring students to take advantage and enroll starting from the 2025/2026 academic session
