Nurudeen Adebosi and second half substitute, Ofoegbu Wisdom were on target as Abia Comets FC of Umuahia bounced back to winning ways, following 2-0 victory over Igbajo United FC, on Sunday at the Enyimba International Stadium, Aba.

The encounter which was a Matchday 14 Southern Conference A clash saw the Comets Boys take the lead through Nurudeen, who converted a spot kick to put the hosts 1-0 ahead inside eight minute.

However, the hosts continued to show dominance and nearly doubled her lead but the luck was not coming as the first half ended 1-0.

In the second half, Abia Comets maintained their dominance in the game with the second goal of the game, after Emeka Maduka delivered a brilliant cross to Ofoegbu, as the forward beat Igbajo United goalkeeper to double the lead in the 85th minute.

With the result, Abia Comets ended its four games winless streak at home to secure the vital three points.

Comets has now moved to the 5th position, in the Southern Conference A log on 18 points and will take on Dakkada FC in a Matchday 15 clash next weekend in Uyo.
