Greek based club, Olympiacos, has completed the transfer of Nigerian Super Eagles defender, Bruno Onyemaechi, from Portuguese club, Boavista FC.
In a deal worth €2.5 million, the 25-year old Nigerian defender inked a three-and-a-half-year deal with the Greek topflight league giants.
Born 3 April 1999, the rock-solid Nigerian defender started his professional football career signing for Portuguese Liga 2 club, Clube Desportivo Feirense in 2020.
Onyemaechi’s outstanding performances in the colours of Clube Desportivo Feirense earned him deals from top European clubs.
On 17 August 2022, Onyemaechi joined Portuguese club, Boavista FC on a season-long loan with an option to buy.
In June 2023, Boavista triggered the option and signed him on a permanent deal.
The highly rated prospect established himself an integral squad member of the Boavista team with back to back outstanding performances in games which earned a National Team Call-up to the Nigerian Senior National Team.
On 10 September 2023, Onyemaechi made his international debut for Nigeria playing as a left-back for the full 90 minutes of a 6–0 victory over São Tomé and Príncipe, in the final group match of the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.
Prominen for his pace, power, and versatility, ability to function across the left-hand side of the defense, which makes him a very significant addition to the Olympiacos team in their ambition to strengthen it for both domestic and European campaigns.
With all paper works signed, the Nigerian star is expected to be unveiled by his new Greek Employees in the coming days.
With Onyeamaechi’s move to Olympiacos, the Nigerian lists amongst unending lists of Nigerian top talents discovered and transferred by Nigerian born Football Agent, Paul Ojo Omamomo.
The deal makes it two top transfers facilitated by the Nigerian topmost football Agent in between two days following the signing of Nigerian prodigy, Vince Osuji, to Belgian giants, Club Brugge.
