Delta State Sports Commission Chairman, Onoriode Oborevwori, has applauded Delta Queens resilience in their 2-0 win over Benue Queens in one of the Matchday (2) fixtures played today in the Nigeria Women Topflight league.
The exciting fixture which had Government dignitaries and stake holders in Delta State football in attendance had the home side, Delta Queens, registering a 2-0 lead at half time following the heroics of Adam Princess.
An end to end second half which produced no goals for the either side had wasteful Delta Queens carting away all maximum points at stake on a two goals scoreline.
Delta State Sports Commission Chairman, Onoriode Oborevwori, present at the stadium to cheer the Delta Queens expressed his delight with the victory which he described as the utmost priority of the team in the game against Benue Queens.
“It was an interesting fixture and kudos to the Delta Queens for making Deltans proud with their 2-0 convincing victory”
“The girls took their chances and converted them regardless the team wasted a couple of chances which I know they will improve on in subsequent game”
Next for Delta Queens is a Matchday (3) fixture against Adamawa United away from home.
