Enyimba U18 will face high-flying Phantom Eagles in the final of the Dreamland Abia State and Embassy of Hungary Cup.

The Young Elephants dispatched tournament favourites, New Generation FC 2-0, courtesy of a brace from the dazzling Samuel Okechukwu. The forward scored from the spot in the third minute after Agada was fouled in the box and he made it two with a brilliant run into the opponents half, dribbling past every opponent in sight before slotting home.

Phantom Eagles left it late to beat Dreamland Academy 2-0 to set up a thrilling encounter with the Young Elephants. Dreamland Academy came into the semifinal after a 3-1 win over Inter Aba while Phantom Eagles beat Benson FC 5-0 to set up that tie with Dreamland. Edem Joshua’s brace in the dying moments of the second semifinal was enough to send the boys from Enugu to the final on Thursday.

The final comes up on Thursday, 27th March at the Enyimba Stadium, the time for the game is 2:30pm.

The Governor of Abia State, Dr. Alex Chioma Otti is the guest of honour, alongside the ambassador of Hungary to Nigeria, Mr Lorand Endreffy and other dignitaries from across the country, including the President of the Nigeria Olympic Committee, Engr. Habu Gomel.
