Geometric Power Aba Limited’s Battle Against the Odds

Imagine a thriving city where industries buzz with activity, homes are illuminated, and dreams are powered by a constant supply of electricity. Such a vision may seem like a distant dream for the resilient people of Aba who have endured years of power outages, setbacks, and frustrating bureaucracy. However, amidst the darkness, there is a flicker of hope that promises to illuminate the city once again.

The Trials and Triumphs of Geometric Power Aba Limited

Geometric Power Aba Limited, spearheaded by the indomitable Prof Bart Nnaji, geared up and positioned to provide reliable and uninterrupted power supply to the vibrant city of Aba from its establishment in 2005. With state-of-the-art equipment and a vision to transform Aba’s power infrastructure, Geometric invested wholeheartedly in the project.

However, in 2013, when the construcrion was complete and the company is about ready to start off, the distribution network in Aba was snatched away by the Enugu Electricity Distribution Company (EEDC), effectively stripping Geometric of its area of coverage. This marked the beginning of a grueling and protracted legal battle that spanned nine arduous years. During this period, Geometric’s equipment and infrastructure, which once held the promise of brightening the city’s future, languished in neglect and deterioration.

The toll of the legal battle was felt not only in courtrooms but also in Geometric’s financials. Impeded from generating revenue, the company struggled to bear the maintenance costs of the neglected equipment. Additionally, the lack of support from the government and the EEDC further exacerbated their predicament, hindering the growth and progress of the company.

Prof Bart Nnaji expressed his frustration, calling attention to the bureaucratic red tape and unnecessary delays that stifled their efforts. He voiced his dismay at the lack of a conducive environment for private companies in the power sector to thrive, emphasizing the urgent need for government intervention.

A Beacon of Hope: Geometric’s Resurgence

Against all odds, Geometric Power Aba Limited emerged victorious in February, 2022 and the final take over in September 2022, paving the way for a long-awaited revival. Prof Bart Nnaji expressed his gratitude to the judiciary for their fair judgment and commended his dedicated team’s resilience throughout this arduous journey.

Looking to the future, Geometric plans to breathe new life into their equipment and infrastructure. With the aim of reestablishing their legacy of uninterrupted power supply for Aba and its environs, the company is gearing up for an overhaul and revitalization.

Appealing for Patience and Support

To keep the lights on in Aba during the turnaround maintenance process, Geometric approached the Niger Delta Power Holding Company. Although faced with limitations, the company has managed to provide a minimum electricity supply, going above and beyond to ensure the wellbeing of the community. However, this comes at a significant cost, as Geometric shoulders the burden of subsidizing electricity in Aba, making it imperative for consumers to fulfill their obligation by paying their bills.

Prof Bart Nnaji humbly pleaded with the electricity consumers of Aba to remain patient, emphasizing the magnitude of the investments made and the commitment to seeing the project through. With the facility near completion, the promise of 24-hour electricity supply is within reach. The hope is that this fortitude and dedication will inspire the consumers to rally behind Geometric Power Aba Limited, helping protect the infrastructure from vandals and joining the call for government support.

A Shining Future on the Horizon

In the face of adversity, Geometric Power Aba Limited has persevered, driven by the resilience and indomitable spirit of Prof Bart Nnaji and his team. As they prepare to reinvigorate the city’s power infrastructure, their dreams of abundant electricity supply are close to becoming a reality.

Embrace the flickers of hope, dear citizens of Aba, and envision the liberation that comes with uninterrupted power supply. The path ahead may not be without challenges, but together, we can overcome the darkest nights of power outages and illuminate a brighter future for all.

Let us unite in supporting Geometric Power Aba Limited, honoring our commitment to pay our bills, and rallying for the government to extend a helping hand. Together, we can reignite the spark of Aba’s vibrant industries, enlighten the dreams of households, and pave the way for a city that never sleeps.
