The Nigeria second tier league popularly known as the NNL over the years is known and regarded as the toughest division in Nigeria football following everything associated with the league ranging from officiating, welfare and dominance by home teams.

Former Abia Warriors gaffer, Coach Okechukwu Kelvin Eje, since taking the position of the head Coach of Umuahia based club, Abia Comets, has changed narrative in the Nigeria second tier league making the league look easy with his team performance in back to back season.

Last season, his debut season, Eje raised the bar in the Nigeria Nation League, from his side unique style of play down to the team lengthy unbeaten streak, the highest by any club in recent times.

Nicknamed Nigeria “Jose Mourinho” the vastly experienced tactical gaffer has continued to live up to his nickname from his charisma in the dug out down to results.

Eje’s coaching philosophy emphasizes discipline, hard work, and teamwork. He is known for his ability to identify and nurture raw talent, providing them with the necessary guidance and support to develop their skills and reach their full potential. In the current campaign, Abia Comets has picked (7) points on the road more than any club so far in the league.
