Rahimo FC, who won promotion three years ago to the topflight, have developed since they stepped up and have finished in the top three in the three years they have spent in the topflight, culminating in winning the title outrightly.

The Burkinabe team is known for grooming talents and have a crop of youngsters who have played together for a long time.

The Aba Elephants on the other hand are a traditional team in Nigeria’s topflight and are also the champions of the league for a record eighth time but are going into this season’s continental campaign with a relatively new squad filled with experience.

The game is scheduled to hold at the Stade du 4 Août, Ouagadougou by 5pm Nigerian time and the reverse fixture coming up on 25th August in Aba.

The winner of this fixture will face the winner between Al Hilal of Sudan and Rayon Sports of Rwanda
