A lone goal by Simon Daniel in the 50th minute was enough for FC ONE Rockets to secure a 1-0 win and pocket all three points against visiting Apex Krane in the Nigeria National League matchday one encounter at the training pitch of the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium.
Midfielder Ugochukwu Obiri who provided the assist and captained the side on Saturday evening in his reaction after the win said it was the beginning of great things for the “Indomitables”.
“This is just the beginning of great heights. We pray for more success, more victory.”
“We are working hard. Some of us, this is just our first time in the league. Hopefully next game we will do better than this.”
Obiri also applauded his teammates for the effort they put in to secure the win.
“They did very well… We thank God for the players because everyone put in 110 percent. The coach has been giving us a lot and we used what the coach gave us and put it into action.”
