..As Captain Somiari Assure Maximum Points

Enyimba FC Gaffer, Coach Olanrewaju Daniel Yemi says his team will be mindful of Niger Tornadoes away form this season when both sides clash in tomorrow’s (Wednesday) NPFL Match Day 7 encounter.

The Ikon Allah Boys will be The People’s Elephant guest on Wednesday at the Enyimba Int’l Stadium, Aba by 4pm and Captain, Somiari Alalibo has assured he and his colleagues will grab the maximum points.

Enyimba FC of Aba founded in 1976 is just a year older than their next league opponent, Niger Tornadoes.

The People’s Elephant would look to maintain their edge over the Ikon Allah side when they come visiting for the NPFL match day 7.

Both sides have since 2009 met 17 times with the Aba giants winning on 8 occasions while the Minna based side have had 6 wins with 3 games ending in a draw.

Last season, Enyimba got the better of their opponents as they downed Tornadoes in Aba 3-1 with goals from, Balogun Alade, Elijah Akani and Uche Collins with Akintunded Azeeze getting a consolation for them, as the revers fixture in Kaduna (adopted home of Tornadoes then) saw both sides play out a barren draw.

Speaking ahead of the encounter, Coach Yema said;

“Yeah, we know it’s gonna be a difficult game, they haven’t won at their home and they have done better at away matches.

“Haven drawn against Lobi Stars at home last weekend, they would want to come to get something but we know their tactics.

“We would be ready for for them, in the past three games we’ve been having clean sheets and we want to maintain that to gather as much points as possible to put pressure on Remo Stars and Rivers United at the top of the table.

In same vein, Enyimba Captain, Somiari Alalibo is confident Enyimba would come out victorious in Wednesday’s outing.

“Come tomorrow, we are expecting nothing than Victory, because we know what is at stake.

“No team is a push over team and we know they will come to give us a good fight but we would come out victorious.

Enyimba is 3rd on the log with 13 points from 6 games while their visitors are placed 6th with 9 points from same number of games.
