Campos FC, a club celebrated for its dedication to nurturing young talent, has recently thrust itself into the spotlight by levying serious allegations against FIFA agent Peter Ejiasi.
The club contends that Ejiasi, while facilitating multiple player transfers, has repeatedly failed to honor his contractual obligations—a breach that has resulted in significant financial losses and jeopardized the club’s future
At the heart of this dispute lies the assertion that Ejiasi’s management of player transfers was marred by unfulfilled promises and negligence.
Campos FC accuses him of mishandling agreements which have directly translated into substantial monetary setbacks.
In a world where every transfer impacts a club’s fiscal health and its ability to foster emerging talent, such a breach of trust strikes at the very core of the club’s operations.
The fallout from this mismanagement is further compounded by the breakdown in communication between the club and the agent. Patrick Ikechukwu Osuji, the club’s president and CEO, has made numerous attempts to engage with Ejiasi in a bid to rectify these issues.
Unfortunately, Ejiasi’s persistent refusal to cooperate has not only escalated tensions but has also led to an irreparable rift in their professional relationship. This silence, amid rising financial pressures, has forced Campos FC to seek redress through more formal channels.
Campos FC’s grievances extend beyond mere financial losses. The club is actively contesting the transfers of key players, including Chrisantus Ugonna Uche—currently playing for Getafe—and Sixtus Nzubechi Ogbuehi, who is now with Osasuna B. Additionally, the club disputes the unauthorized transfers of Osuagwu Godswill Chinaza to CF Ceuta U19 and Nwafuru Anthony Arinze to UD Mellila. Each of these moves, according to Campos FC, not only violates contractual norms but also disrupts the stability and future planning of the club.
The situation took another troubling turn when it was discovered that Ejiasi is allegedly trying to orchestrate the transfer of Awodike Ikeji Chukwubuikem—a player still registered with Campos FC—to Spain without the club’s consent. Instead of entering into fair negotiations, Ejiasi is reportedly using the services of an Abuja-based club, J1 Football Club, in collaboration with PINTEX SPORTS AGENCY’s RBM SPORTS FC to secure the necessary travel documents for the player.
This maneuver, which flagrantly contravenes FIFA regulations, underscores a broader pattern of dubious practices and a disregard for the established protocols designed to protect clubs and players alike.
Despite the mounting challenges, Osuji remains steadfast in his stance. He acknowledges that while players are entitled to pursue opportunities elsewhere, such moves must adhere to proper procedures that respect all contractual rights and obligations. His public denunciation of Ejiasi’s practices is not merely a pursuit of compensation—it is a clarion call for reform in the football transfer market.
By bringing these issues to light, Campos FC hopes to spur industry-wide changes that enhance transparency, enforce accountability, and ultimately safeguard the interests of all stakeholders in the sport.
