The Sports Writers of Nigeria (SWAN), Abia State Chapter has showered praises on Samuel Chukwueze and Frank Onyeka, two Abia-born players for their immense contributions in Nigeria’s 4-0 win over Benin Republic.
Samuel Chukwueze got two assists; the first a delightful through pass to Osimhen to kickstart Nigeria’s resurgence and the second, a sublime cross to Osimhen for the Galatasaray forward’s second goal of the evening.
Frank Onyeka came from the bench to score a perfect goal, sending Nigeria into the playoffs. Abia SWAN congratulates the players on their victory, commending them for their show of skill, resilience and high level of professionalism.
“We congratulate the players for being our worthy ambassadors and wish them well as they play the playoffs in November.
“We also wish Samuel Chukwueze a speedy recovery from the knock he suffered in the game and hope to see him and the team get the ticket to the World Cup,” said Kingsley Okwum, Chairman, Abia SWAN’s Caretaker Committee.
Abia SWAN also congratulates the entire team on their resounding 4-0 victory against Benin Republic which resurrected the dreams of Nigerians and wishes them well in the playoffs in November.
