The stage is set for an electrifying football experience as the Kwara State zone of the 2024 5STARS Premier League season prepares to kick off on September 21, 2024, at the Playsporthub mini stadium in Tanke, Ilorin.
This marks the sixth season of the prestigious league, which has already witnessed intense competition in various states, including Kaduna, Lagos, Ibadan, Warri, and Abuja. The National finals are slated for October 12, 2024, in Abuja, and expectations are high.
Ten top-notch teams will battle for supremacy in the Kwara State zone, with notable sides like Kwara United, La Planet, House of Prayer, GAA AKANBI, JAD FC, Blazing Stars, Gigabyte FC and Skills already confirming their participation. The seven-sided football showdown promises to deliver thrilling matches, exceptional skills, and unparalleled entertainment.
The 5STARS Premier League has established itself as a premier platform for grassroots football development in Nigeria. Since its inception, the league has provided opportunities for emerging talent to shine, fostering growth and competition among local teams.
This season’s Kwara State zone promises to be fiercely contested, with several teams vying for the top spot. Kwara United, a fan favorite, will look to dominate the competition, while La Planet and House of Prayer will seek to upset the odds. Skills, known for their technical prowess, will also be a force to reckon with.
A press conference alongside draws for the tournament would hold today ( Friday) at the KFA Conference room inside the Kwara State Stadium Complex Ilorin.
